I'm sure you're tapping your forehead right now and laughing at the title alone.

"Haha, yeah, quiet at Christmas? That's for sure - the craziest time of the year when I have to manage the impossible!"


I totally understand. Presents don't buy themselves, food doesn't cook itself and pre-Christmas cleaning certainly doesn't do itself, which would of course be amazing for most of us who have so many things on our list that we don't know where to jump first.


It always starts in early December anyway, sometimes even earlier in November. The big rush of people in shopping malls trying to get great gifts at an affordable price for their loved ones. At the same time, we are stocking up on food, drinks, and other necessities. Not to be missed is the timely selection of a Christmas tree, all sorts of decorations for the table, windows, or doors in the form of wreaths, candles, lights or figurines, and other trinkets. Well, whether we want it or not, it's just too much. And I'm not talking about the frantic work pace, with bosses wanting to meet deadlines, trying to squeeze the last vestiges of strength out of you for excellence and peace of mind that all work restos have been completed.


And I'm not talking about the family visits we have to go on and see every one, even though we hardly know each other all year - right?


Why is it that we are so rushed at the end of the year when Christmas - the holiday of peace and tranquility - is coming up? What is it really all about?

The pre-Christmas chaos often leaves us feeling stressed and exhausted, but don't worry!


In this article, we'll explore some tips on how to handle the hustle and bustle with grace and ensure that you not only survive this festive season but also enjoy it immensely...


1. Be sensible and start early!

Procrastination is the main enemy of peaceful holidays. Start preparations early - from shopping to meal planning. Create a checklist and tackle tasks one at a time to avoid last-minute panic. Instead of waiting to buy gifts for everyone, buy gifts on an ongoing basis.

Take a few minutes each day to simply sit down in front of the Christmas tree and appreciate the beauty and peace it brings - let thoughts and memories of childhood pass through or simply smile!
